WBTF Board Representative Spotlight on Alessia Dolci, President FSTB Switzerland

WBTF wishes to spotlight our member representatives to the Board of Directors during the next few months.  We thank each of them for sharing a little information about themselves and what their goals are for the future in baton twirling.

This Spotlight is on Alessia Dolci, President of FSTB Switzerland:

1. When and how did you get involved in baton twirling? *
    In 1983 as an Athlete in my city

2. What leadership positions have you been part of in your country? *
    President, technical commission member, expert youth and sport association and many others

3. How long have you represented your federation in the WBTF? *
    Since 2011 - this year will be the 10th as FSTB President

4. What do you believe is your strongest asset as the WBTF representative of your federation? *
    Communication and mediative skills, positive and enthusiastic approach

5. What do you envision for baton twirling in your country in 10 years? *
    To be part of a bigger baton sport federation and stay part in Swiss Olympic Committee as an Olympic sport

6. Do you have an occupation outside of baton twirling? *
    Lawyer, President of a family court

7. Tell us a little about yourself … (i.e.: family, pets, hobbies, awards, interests, etc.) *
    I am the mother of two beautiful and talented children; I love two magical cats and I am surrounded by many wonderful friends. I love sports, yoga and Pilates and reading books      and spending my vacations in oceans islands (Hawaii).

8. What is one thing that no one in WBTF knows about you. *
    I love champagne, chocolate and dancing all night long.
